Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)

A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is a secure electronic key that verifies your identity online — used for company registration on MCA, GST amendments, income tax filings, e-tendering, and government procurement. We issue Class 3 DSCs for individuals, company directors, and authorized signatories at our centre.

How It Works

1

Application & Verification

We initiate your DSC application with the Certifying Authority. Aadhaar-based verification is done online via OTP — no physical document submission needed.

2

Video Verification (if required)

Some DSC types require a brief video verification. We walk you through this process at our centre.

3

DSC Issued on Token

Your DSC is issued on a USB crypto token. This token is used to digitally sign documents — it cannot be copied, ensuring security.

4

Installation & Testing

We install the DSC token software and test it with a sample document. You receive guidance on how to use it for MCA filings, ITR, GST, and e-tendering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs a Digital Signature Certificate?
DSC is mandatory for company directors filing ROC returns on MCA, for GST registration of companies and LLPs, for e-tendering on government portals, for filing certain income tax forms, and for GeM seller registration. Individuals may need DSC for specific government transactions.
What is the validity of a Class 3 DSC?
Class 3 DSCs come with 1-year or 2-year validity. After expiry, you need to renew — the renewal process is similar to new issuance. NammaDocs can notify you before your DSC expires so you renew it in time.
What is the difference between DSC Class 2 and Class 3?
Class 2 DSC has been discontinued by the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) as of 2021. All new DSCs are now Class 3, which offer the highest level of assurance and are accepted everywhere Class 2 was previously accepted.
Can I use my DSC from home?
Yes. The USB token that stores your DSC can be used on any computer with the driver software installed. You plug in the token, enter your PIN, and your digital signature is applied to documents. NammaDocs provides the token and installs the necessary software for you.
