How It Works

1

Walk In with Aadhaar

Come to NammaDocs with your Aadhaar card and the mobile number linked to it. The process takes about 15 minutes.

2

Occupation Details

We ask about your work — what you do, approximate monthly income, and whether you work seasonally or year-round. This information determines your eligibility for various welfare schemes.

3

OTP Verification & Registration

We register you on the eSHRAM portal using Aadhaar OTP. Your bank details are linked for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

4

eSHRAM Card Issued

You receive a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) and an eSHRAM card — digitally on your phone or printed at our centre. You are automatically covered for Rs 2 lakh accident insurance through PMSBY.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to register on eSHRAM?
Any unorganised worker aged 16–59 years who is not a member of EPF (EPFO) or NPS (as a government employee) is eligible. This includes domestic workers, construction workers, agricultural labourers, street vendors, gig workers, auto/taxi drivers, and all workers in the informal economy.
What accident insurance is provided through eSHRAM?
All eSHRAM registered workers are automatically covered under PMSBY (PM Suraksha Bima Yojana) — Rs 2 lakh for accidental death or permanent disability, and Rs 1 lakh for partial disability. The premium is paid by the government for the first year. After that, the worker pays Rs 20/year.
Is eSHRAM registration mandatory?
eSHRAM registration is voluntary, not mandatory. However, it is strongly recommended because registered workers get priority access to government welfare schemes, cash transfers during emergencies, and the free accident insurance. Registration is quick and costs nothing (NammaDocs charges Rs 150 as service charge).
Can I register if I do not have a bank account?
Technically you can register without a bank account, but you will not be able to receive any direct benefit transfers. We strongly recommend opening a Jan Dhan account at any bank branch before or after registration. NammaDocs can guide you on opening a basic savings account.
